This video is a little long, but I wanted to make sure that I covered as much as I could.

This was the first time I have ever installed a amp, so some of the steps took me longer than others. Hopefully, you can gather some useful information, or see some of the issues I ran into, and save yourself some time.

  • ANd the differents car be heard? I´m thinking about putting the Monoversion in for a Subwoofer..

  • @lbvnrw Thanks for the comment and for watching! Yes, the difference is NIGHT AND DAY, I would buy another one in a heart beat. In fact, I am waiting for Rockford Fosgate to release the PBR500X1 mono amp (same size as my PBR300X4), and I plan on using that to push a stealth sub install I will be doing on my dakota. I have been very impressed with this little amp, for the couple of weeks I have been running it, it has been 100%. Thanks again for watching and for the comment!

  • Whats the title of the song 1:06:06

  • @lbvnrw Thanks for the comment! I wish I knew, I tried several times to use my Shazaam app on my phone to query it, but could never find a match. It was on a local station here in town, but I wish I had it. It sounds like it is a good song. Thanks again for watching and for the comment!

  • i just got the same amp installed into my 2008 toyota pruis and also with a capatior battery sounds good so far !

  • @rrobin1057 Thanks for watching and for the comment! I agree this little amp is really amazing and makes a huge difference in sound!

  • @nojunkorspam Thanks for the comment! Good call on the air holes, I am going to run it for a couple of more days and see how it does. I read the same thing about amps, that it is best not to allow them to touch the metal of the vehicle. I believe the theory is that metal to metal is more prone to conducting resonation and engine noise/electricity. I have wondered about maybe doing the BIG 3 upgrade to clean up my Dakota's power and grounding, and mounting the amp on wood or rubber.

  • I jumped around in your video, but I'm still trying to figure out how you squeezed it under that panel. I know it's small, but there's no space under there.

I'm concerned about your lack of airflow. These amps get very hot and yours is sealed up with little space. Small air holes might be wise. It's good that the truck is basically it's big heat sink, but I've read (though don't know the validity) that the metal body of an amp is not supposed to come into contact with the metal of the car.

  • @Lorddarthvader1701 Thank you for the kind words! I hate that the video is so long, but there was no other way I could cover so much material in a 10-15 minute time period, not without sacrificing details. Thanks again for watching, I am glad you liked it!
