I don't think it's really necessary to retake all these academic classes in college when you already did them in high school. I do think there should be a class in where you learn how to write a paper for college and how to do a research paper and how to do a presentation but how necessary is it to retake classes you already did? I'm not saying that, as American's, we need to become dumber and more lazy, we just need to stop wasting our time and getting straight to the point. I know I will get comments saying "That's what technical or vocational schools are for." Yeah I know, but why make "extra" schools when we can just implement it into our universities and colleges?

  • Once you finish high school and venture onto college the primary reason for the requirement to re-take some subject matter courses such as English and Math is based on a few things. This was determined after a great deal of study, to find out that the majority of students comming into the college life were NOT properly prepared to function in those areas at the level expectied of both the college and the accrediting body. It is up to the college to make sure you can graduate.

  • @judegenot If student's "aren't properly prepared" then there is something wrong with our prek- 12th grade schools.
