Today, I'm going to show you a Japanese popular game どうぶつしょうぎ　Dōbutsu Shōgi.

Doubutsu Shogi: Out of Traditional Shogi Comes a Brand New Game.
Due to large amounts of recent media coverage, Doubutsu Shogi is now gaining momentum.

My recommended points are:
Small children can learn good manners by having opportunities they say "よろしくおねがいします[yoroshikuonegaishimasu]" and "ありがとうございました[Arigatōgozaimashita]". through this game. I think it's sometimes hard for small children to say "ありがとうございました/Thank you very much!" when they lost the game.

今、話題の3歳から遊べる「どうぶつしょうぎ」の紹介をします。

コマにはカワイイ４種類の動物が描かれています。それぞれの動物が動ける方向は、コマに赤い点で記されています。取ったコマは、自分のコマとして自分の番の時に空いている­好きな場所に置くことができます。ただし、相手から取った「ひよこ・ニワトリ」のコマを初めて相手のテリトリーに置くときは、「ひよこ」として置かなくてはいけません。
先に相手のライオンを捕まえるか、又は、自分のライオンを相手のテリトリーに入れることができた方が勝ちです！

このゲームの一番のおすすめポイントは、小さなお子さんが日本の伝統的なゲームである「将棋」の基礎を学べると同時に、「挨拶」の大切さも学べる点です。　ゲームが始まる前に、対戦相手に「よろしくお願いします！」と、ゲームが終わった時は「ありがとうございました！」と挨拶をします。小さな子供にとって、負けた時にも「あ­りがとうございました。」と相手に言うことは、容易ではないかもしれません。
