In my opinion she was not deployed correctly. Given her known engine speed issues and the limitations of her air group-she should have been deployed well north and operated deep into the Atlantic. This way she could have pressured the vulnerable 6,000 mile (!) logistics train keeping the RN Taskforce supplied. It would have drawn away precious RN ships and subs from the Falklands operational area.

@Change6609 Holland acquired it in 1948 (or 1949 - I can't remember which) from the UK. The ship was built at Birkenhead in 1942. The Dutch sold it after a fire.
So during the Falklands War the most dangerous enemy vessel was in fact manufactured in the country it was now attacking!

This is a former Dutch aircraft carries, named Her Netherlands Majesty Ship (HNLMS) 'Karel Doorman, which was sold to Argentina in the early 1970's.
In Dutch service, it operated Sea Hawk jet fighters and Grumman S2 Trackers.
