Jim Davis has been fighting President Bush and the Republicans in Congress for stem cell research. He was a cosponsor of the stem cell bill that President Bush vetoed and Davis joined a bipartisan majority in voting to override the veto. This ad, which is sponsored by the Florida Democratic Party, outlines Jim Davis's commitment to furthering this potentially life-saving research. He believes that extreme ideological agendas should not stand in the way a cure for Parkinson's, Alzheimer's, diabetes, or a myriad of other diseases. As governor, Jim Davis will fight to increase funding for stem cell research.
OK since the research won't produce immediate results you are saying not to do it is that right ? I guess the same argument could be made for offshore drilling but I suspect you are for that even if it will have little effect for the next couple of decades and even then only a couple of percentage points ??

this is a really irresponsible way to talk about stem cells. Especially when the research won't be able to produce a viable treatment alternative for another 15-20 years
