Amnesty International has obtained pictures, which they say show victims of torture of Zimbabweans who did not support Mugabe during the elections.

The London-based rights group claims that the violations remain unpunished.

Owen Fay has this report.

  • u cearly don't know what is happening in Zim- if u refuse to acknowledge these incidence - whoever may state them, + so ur judgement is invalid, why then do u bother to comment, in doing so u just demonstrate your ingnorance.

  • Hardly a solution! The Zanu PF leadership has so much to hide that it will not relinquish power. I fail to follow your reasoning... Only condemnation of their actions, may bring about change, not acquiescence of their actions.

  • Listen to that ignorant Zanu PF spokesperson- he does not believe for a second that all these images are coming from Zimbabwe and will go to attack Britain from the get go. I don't expect him to accept the facts in the video. he and many others should face heavy prison sentences someday for what they have done to Zimbabwe.

  • Rhodesia was super. Zimbabwe inherited from Rhodesia everything an African country can only dream about: commercial agriculture that produced every possible grain, fruit or vegetable, even resin, diverse and well functioning industry, developed network of roads and railroads, cities' infrastructure, schools, hospitals and civil services...

And squandered it all. Nothing works. So who is to blame? Of course colonialists and world imperialists, who else? Not yourself, precious.

  • A lot of the leaders are puppets of you devils and they give the natural resources to you devils and let the people starve.

  • Five million people are starving right now, African leaders have solved nothing. The Zanu PF Gvernment is looting the country and the only aid is filtering through from us the devil race. What is your view on this situation?

  • barlog, zim had populas approx 300 000, on arrival of the white man.Though many outsiders from surrounding countries were brought or came in and fufilled work places - The countrys infant mortality rate declined dramatically, coupled with an increase in life expectancy, is what brought Zim to the populas it now experiences, although with Mugabe in power this is all changing with mass migration, and low life expectancy!!

  • tigerzz84 - I think ur history is very coarse if this is what u believe really happened. I bet at least one of your parents or grandparents is originally from a country neighbouring Zim or further. Also what if I told u, if anything it is actually the San Bushmans land, if anyones?
