For those of you wondering about the "European" appearance of this train it's because the equipment is from Sweden. Apparently, Sweden kept their steam locomotives as a backup to their electrified system after WW2 but in the last decade or so have started to liquidate their stock. The Hull-Chelsea-Wakefield line was able to get a serviceable steam train at a reasonable price and it's a fun day out as well.
