  • @mcgerec Yes. I learnt the hard way when I accidently burned out $7 worth of LEDs once. When you buy LEDs find out what voltage range they operate within, and their mili-amp draw.

  • @Samuraikidd271 No. A resistor is not a transformer, it is a resistor. It creates resistance.

    A transformer proportionally converts volts and amps while trying to create as little resistance as possible to maintain the same watts.

  • @mcgerec The leds will quite literally burn. The resistor acts as a transformer so the voltage does not fry your cathodes or anodes. They won't last a minute.

  • are the resitors compulsary ? will anything bad happen if i do it without the resistors ?

  • it would be nice if its brighter....
