Good comment. You're right. There are American buffaloes -- but that doesn't mean that Americans are buffaloes. Can I say "African zebra" without someone thinking that I'm saying that Africans are zebras? Ha.
It's too bad that the reference to "Nubian monkey" is causing hurt feelings.  Supposedly, "Nubian monkey" is a game, but I've never seen it. Maybe. someone can tell us what it is.
