Hoonah Alaska Humpback Breaching - First Edit June 2011

Here is the edited file of the great show this single Humpback put on for us this June. We were on a whale watching tour with Teckk Outfitters out of Hoonah AK and found this whale after 30 minutes. "Humpy" put on a show for the next two hours breaching some 40 times. None of these breaches on the tape are repeats, all are different. Unfortunately Humpy would not tell me when or where he was coming up, so I did capture a bunch of splashes and thumbs, but many were spectacular. We gave Humpy a 9.6 for his great jump with a full twist. Unfortunately, by the time he put together an 11 successive jump show in under 2 minutes, he could hardly get out of the water. We were tired just holding the cameras. Humpy was quite a show-whale, as he repeatedly slapped a hello to us. He must have wanted a tip. This was the highlight of our cruise on the Celebrity Millenium out of Vancouver on June 3rd, 2011. Will upload again when I can figure out how to do it in higher definition.
