This is part 2 of my Creative Final Project for THEO 363 - Contemporary Christian Thought at Azusa Pacific University. It is a semi-prepared improvisation inspired by theological themes as described by Jürgen Moltmann. He emphasized the need for hope in Jesus Christ and what He has done. Through all of the despair in life, there is hope that Jesus' redemptive power will triumph over all else. The piece is very minor and includes many dissonant chords for the expressed purpose of portraying tension and troubling circumstances. As the song progresses, the hymn "It is Well" is weaved in because "...whatever my lot, thou hast taught me to say, It is well, It is well, with my soul."
