@shadowhunter388 humans are "hominids." hominid is the term in taxonomy that refers to apes. i hate to break it it to you, but humans are apes. we have a lot in common with other apes. our shoulders rotate in a similar manner. we make tools. we live in small communities or families. it takes a long time to gestate a baby. children require a parent to survive. we breed regardless of season. we nest. we communicate. we groom. we are by definition apes. planes are tools btw.

The same way that bonobos and gorillas are separate species from each other, but both are still apes. Just because we gained intellect doesn't suddenly mean we aren't apes; that's not how science works. We still share 98% of our DNA with chimpanzees.

Yes we are a separate species called homo sapiens, but we're still apes.

We are a different class especially if you look at our intelligence compared to an actual "APE" I don't see Ape's building planes, creating cars, working everyday, supporting a family, building a nation, start an economy, manufacturing clothing, and lastly an actual language.
