  • I also think think that anyone who is a true fan of yours wants you to make some money. You've provided your true fans with free entertainment for years now, bearing your inner-most soul at times (The Conversation cover is a perfect example) and it's time you had the success you truly deserve.

Anyone who doesn't wish you the greatest of success and all the rewards that accompany that, on the basis they might not get free entertainment, is a truly selfish person who's not worth your time.

  • So I find myself oddly invested in the goings on of your life because of these videos but now there are no more videos...it's like...sad...and stuff :( miss ya jaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa (you got extra 'a's for being extra awesome...or should I say aaaaaaaaaaaaawesome :P

  • whaait waiit wait. hp sauces or hp computers??

  • very impressive video..keep up the good work!

  • Most people who call artists sellouts are probably just jealous that these guys are being successful now. Or some of them are angry that now a great artist that was hard to find and difficult to share for them is now being talked about by teenagers and other inexperienced listeners, when they should be glad they are now being exposed to a broader audience.

That is, unless they actually changed their style to appeal to a mainstream audience. They they are sellouts.

  • @nerimon hehehe i might come to london soon, lets do STUFF

  • Agree, agree, agree. These people don't know what selling out is...

Green Day (sellouts)-they're not themselves anymore.

My Chemical Romance (sellouts)- they go with what makes them popular.

Julia Nunes (definately not a sellout)- she does it cos she loves it and she makes people happy!!

Avril Lavigne (not a sellout)- she changed... I don't like her music now but that doesn't mean she's sold out.

Foo Fighters (Definately not selling out)- they do it because they want to...

  • when i think of selling out, i don't think of just making money, but more like abandoning your true self and doing what other people tell you just for more profit

  • I knows this is olds........ but I love it. I love your attitude. The arts suuuuuuuucks for making a living. The term "selling out" is for indie kids who love their soy and whatever everyone hates. And it's not to be pretentious. It's just grand see someone so honest about their success, I hope you continue to do grandiose things- shenanigans make the world go round, But anyhoo.... you know that. Just keep crankin 'er to 11....

  • I agree 100% on this. As a professional musician, i totally feel you. I mean, if you're getting paid to do what you love...isn't that kind've everyone's goal? The term "selling out" is kind've ridiculous to me.

  • I miss your videos on this channel! :(

  • o hai...would you be interested in flying to Australia and doing a show for me? I'll pay you USD$10 million plus expenses. Sound good? Oh, just one thing, I'm a bit short on cash at the moment. But like you said, you'd be happy to do it for free amirite :P
