Here's something you may not have considered when adding rich compost and pouring on that neato compost tea. It's almost surreal when you see it in person. Take a look!

  • Could it also be too that you did not mow those particular dandelions because they are right against the wood and your mower did not get that close? Just saying ;)

  • @thewaterfalloflove I trim against the raised beds with a weed trimmer each time I mow.

  • @Praxxus55712, okay cool stuff. Do you get honey bees on the clover? I have bees and was thinking about planting clover for them.

  • @thewaterfalloflove I get those fat bumblebees, some honey bees, tiny parasitic wasps, which are all extremely beneficial. Also many types of other pollinating insects such as butterflies, male mosquitos and ants. It's a micro-wonderland out there! :)

ps: Plant white clover. It has a fantastic smell on warm days.

  • The clover is edible, and the white and red clover flowers can be dried and used to make Clover Tea to drink. The Dandelion is also edible as a salad greens and the roots are medicinal. So I wouldn't exactly call Clover and Dandelion a Weed.

  • @mikelynch28strong Not your pal. I don't befriend trolls. :)

  • Romaindelion! That's awesome. Organic! The only way to grows

  • Box turtles love dandilions! Get some turtles!

  • Your Peacock just starteled the heck outta my napping Shih Tzu ! :-)

  • you are a good gardener!!....look at that!...love it!.

  • It can't be too bad. Let's eat'em.

  • I thought that you'd probably know this, as a gardener, but clover fixes the nitrogen in the soil, so it's doing a lot of good where it is. When you grow the next crop of veg, or whatever, dig the clover into the soil where it is, then move your raised beds to cover the newly dug soil and start raising a new lot of veg etc. Simples! :D

  • The abundant about of nitrogen could be coming from the bird dung also.. you know how much a bird poops in one day??.... alot!

  • Dandelions.... Looks like you have alot of salad there.. wait for them to flower then bread the flowers and fry them.. they taste great.

  • @Ormekompost I didn't consider using composting worms. I have an insane amount of worms naturally in the soil. They poo everywhere...EVERYWHERE! lol.
