  • When he entered the league there were no black players. By the time he retired in 1956, there were.

  • Take a look at 0:19!!!! Mikan played against black athletes. I still don't understand why everyone's still bitching about him being white!! Mikan was the first ever to reach the status of greatness. PERIOD!!!!!

    The Lakers played the New York Rens (not Harlem, my bad) twice in Chicago in 1947-48 and won both times.
