Black Violin performs for a live and hype crowd at FIU in Miami, FL.
Combining a daunting array of musical styles and influences to produce a signature sound that is not quite maestro, not quite emcee, this group of two classically trained violinists and their DJ is redefining the music world-one string at a time. With influences ranging from Shostakovich and Bach to Nas and Jay-Z, Black Violin breaks all the rules, blending the classical with the modern to create something rare-a sound that nobody has ever heard, but that everybody wants to feel.
In an age where music is coming to be more and more defined by the labels given to it, Black Violin shows that music does not exist within a box, but rather exists in another space-one as open and unrestrained as the minds that produce it.

@thatacdcfan They chose to walk away from that because they wanted to give people something that sounds like every other bullshit rap song they already listen to. There is nothing "creative" about black music. It is more about conformity than anything else (well, it's also about acting like retarded sociopaths). Someone decided to start using autotune, and now every hip hop thug needs to use auto tune even though it sounds like shit. Just like this music here.

@NoPetrol You sir are an ignorant racist. These guys have played professionally in many different orchestras (Florida Philharmonic Boston Pops Symphony Symphony of the Americas). They chose to walk away from that because they wanted to play more than just classical music (the name Black Violin is derived from the last album of jazz violinist Stuff Smith). Even though they're only playing covers in this video walking away allowed them to 1)make more money and 2)have more creative musical freedom.

Why would someone spend all that time learning how to play the violin just to do that bullshit? God DAMN black people are stupid.
