Assembled by curator and producer, Scott McMicken of the band Dr. Dog, The Man Suits are a one-time collaboration of friends and supporters of the Shaking Through series, featuring members of Dr. Dog, MeWithoutYou, BC Camplight, Elvis Perkins in Deerland, along with backup vocals from the spirited Philadelphia vocal choir, The Silver Ages. The band led up by singer, Aaron Weiss, arranges, performs and records a song Scott wrote for the project called "Spirit, Oh, Spirit."

Shaking Through is a documentary series about the "birth of a song." Each year we give ten of the most exciting young minds in music a challenge: One song in two days.

Since January 2010, Shaking Through has provided recording resources and opportunities for exposure that have accelerated the career pace for artists such as Sharon Van Etten, Twin Sister, Floating Action, and more.

Vol. 1, Episode 4 in the Shaking Through 2010 Series features The Man Suits. The project is curated by Shaking Through Guest Curator Scott McMicken of Dr. Dog. "Spirit, Oh Spirit", was recorded in 2010. The song was produced by Scott McMicken, engineered by Jonathan Low and Amy Morrissey at Miner Street Recordings in Philadelphia.
