why spoil a beautiful country? Why make Sri Lanka follow the mistaken beliefs and actions of the "west" ?
When the so called industrial revolution happened in the west ,they kept building and now we have the disgusting buildings seen in all capitals. Sri Lanka managed to avoid most of the rat race.
It is time to learn from the mistakes made by others and not follow and copy mistakes. To do so would be a disaster.

I love Sri Lanka but if it becomes such as shown in this horrible propaganda video, I#ll NEVER come back - and I think most of those who love this beautiful country think the same. May God prevent Sri Lanka from becoming a simple copy of the so-called "developed countries" !

@STFpolice1 nah I'm in university. Think what you want about me, ridicule me all you want, doesn't change the fact that the USA has gone downward, its post war prosperity is spent, its citizen's rights are being stripped away first with the patriot act and now the NDAA and so on.

I love how they want to modernize as much as possible. But trying to look like the US is terrible idea: USA is pretty much a shadow of its former post-WW2 prosperity and its city plans and designs suits best for a large country. But SL is small country. If anything, SL should try to look like Singapore. Put massive focus on providing high quality public transportation since building massive highways is impractical for a tiny island like SL.
