So what, BFME 2 was more of a commercial success (although less of a critical sucess) and is two years older. And he silvethorn stratagy is to spam. It's just boring as all the units are essentially the same.

rubbish, your men would just get shot before they got anywhere near. The enemie just gets archers and spams.
Everyone I know preffered the first game and some still play it. Admitaidly rohan did have too few troops, but in the next game they could have added more like spearmen. etc.

if the elves use silverthorn arrows u upgrade swordsmen and cavelry :P
yea thats the problem rohan was a crappy thing lack of soliders in the first game..and i didnt mean you i mean most of the people get bored of the first game

Where did I say I got bored of the first game.
The vastly overpowered units are things like the Silverthorn arrows. Also they did that ridiculous thing where they combined Rohan and Gondor, wtf.

"some were vastly over powered"? its about how to take the enemy down if u are a noob u cant, all factions have their own strategy .. its more strategy in this game than the first :P after all this game is higher rated 9/10 is the ign rating.

Why because each faction was unique and had to use different tactics.
Whilst in the second all units were the same except some were vastly over powered to give an unfair advantage.
Plus in the first one you could actually put men on the walls.
