This is just a wild guess. The blood is the result of a birth of a white coat harp seal. In this video, it depicts a yellow coat harp seal. The baby seal is a newborn. The blood is the entrails of his umbilical cord. The squeals in the background are just another group of baby harp seals.

He is a new born harp seal. Most of that is the result of the birth. If you look at his fur, it has a hint of yellow.
