If you liked this check out my new video here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rEhodu3PSgI

A set of World War I clips set to the Johnny Cash classic, "The Man Comes Around."

This is a video to honor those who fought and died in this terrible war. I welcome your discussions.

Human life is the most important thing we have, and we keep squandering it.

In a foreign field he lay
Lonely soldier unknown grave
On his dying words he prays
"Tell the world of Paschendale."

  • fucking hell the comments are more depressing than the video

  • @CompactJam Oh thank you. I apologize i thought it was a word. Sorry.

  • @SuperBomber01 The term 'reich' roughly means Empire. The first reich was under Frederick the Great, the second under Kaisar Wilhelm II and the third was indeed under Adolf Hitler through the process of 'anschluss' or reunification of German speaking peoples although none of this has anything whatsover to do with World War One.

  • @SaucyemmettC Blitzkreig wasn't even conceived of for another forty years later. Hmm

  • @theevilm1 I hate people who make up words like villainize instead of using the existing word vilify.

  • @dirtyxmexican I don't know what history books you have read but Hitler was indeed elected Chancellor twice however the president died and he was given both posts and then passed his infamous Enabling Act 1933. He never overthrew any government during the Krystalnacht because he was already in power. During WW I though he was a humble corporal in an Austrian rifle brigade.

  • @theevilm1 Following orders or not. EVERYONE HAS A CHOICE

  • To be able to watch video from a hundred years ago is so fascinating to me. Never forget the first Great War.

  • @dirtyxmexican I agree with your comment but Hitler was in fact democratically elected. In 1933 the Nazi party got in because they secured a massive majority.

  • @vinnyfialho finally somebody on youtube who reads the bible
