A couple years back I made this video for in house play at a bar I was managing to promote our drink specials. Clips are from Steele Magnolias and music is "Millionaires Holiday" by Combustible Edison.

I can't stomach everyone laughing at a diabetic attack. I have a mother who's Type I diabetic and my late grandmother was Type I herself, as is my Uncle Tommy. Those who joke and play about diabetes and suffering an attack caused by it are morons, idiots, and don't deserve to live.

@RogueKnight12866 First off, what's being made fun of is the performance, not just of Julia but all the women in this flick. Secondly every member of my family including both my parents whom I lost years ago suffer from diabetes. Lastly you sully any argument with regard to compassion for others with it ends with "don't deserve to live". Have a lovely day.

@musicvidz9 for my mom she just gets really stupid, and its like this scene without the crazy kicks and crazy hand movements. i tell her to drink her juice and she doesnt want to. for others they still know what to do and drink their juice or some have a full blown attack like shelby.

@musicvidz9 Yes, absolutely. Some people, like me, just get physically wobbly. Others, like one of my friends, looks physically fine but puts up a fight b/c he's not really himself.

@sevillomatic How is this over acting? Have you ever seen anyone have a hypoglycemic attack? Next thing that happens is coma and death.

@RugbyPunk I'm sorry to hear that.. I can imagine how it must feel since my dad has type 1 diabetes as well (diagnosed at age 35 which you probably know is quite rare) and I was diagnosed with type 1 at age 7. I worry about him all the time since my parents are split up and he can't afford an insulin pump (which I have) or a continuous glucose monitor (which I also have) and he doesn't check himself as much as he probably should. At least this made me laugh!:) Thanks!
