Toledo Surprise

December, 2009 - The Broadway Chorus presented "Annie Get Your Nun!" a mash-up of The Sound of Music, Annie, Sister Act, and Chicago. Plucky orphan Annie becomes nanny to wealthy, bedridden Captain Von Trapp's adult slacker-children. While Annie sets out to find a mother for the children, their cranky housekeeper Mrs. Tottendale develops a sinister plan to make off with the Von Trapp fortune.

Toledo Surprise is from the musical The Drowsy Chaperone; in the context of our show, Annie and the grown Von Trapp Children have prepared a song and dance number in anticipation of the Pope visiting their castle... gangsters, nuns, and a long-lost family member get in on the fun.
