The Seoul International Tigers were sitting close to the bottom of the table (6th place) only three years before the 08/09 season, suffering a narrow defeat of 2-1 at Guardians' home that year. Their improvement since then has been astonishing as they finished 3rd, winning 7 more games than in the 06/07 season. Competition between the Tigers and the Yongsan International Guardians was always intense, and this year made no room for exceptions. Losing Captain Arnold Chae (class of 2009) only in the first half due to two yellow cards, the Guardians slipped only after scoring a penalty as the Tigers held the upper hand. Led by captains Jerry An (number 11, black) and Andrew Eom (who was MIA due to injury), the Tigers missed their opportunity to take the advantage of the 10-man-side.
The Guardians finished 2nd in the First Division Conference 08/09 with a record of 12-1-1, while the Tigers finished 3rd with a record of 7-1-5.
Some game footage was lost due to consistent transferring of data over a long period of time. Apologies.
