I made this because I couldn't find any videos like it when I was trying to change my machines

So far my swap has stood the test of time, really I would recommend doing something like this yourself, rather than paying the labor luthiers charge, it was easier to swap these than some strings. Hope it helped you out, please check out my channel, subscribe, I have a band and we will be putting up videos songs, stuff like that, thanks.

  • i need help my tuning pegs are hard to move and when i tune the guitar everything is flat

  • @SpaceshigTv You can oil the gears, but some guitars tuning pegs just suck, you should replace them. if it's flat then you can sharpen everything.

  • hey thanks for the video question? what do the the following screws for? the screws that are on the part of the peg that you twist to tune for future reference I will call this the knob, thhe screw cant be seen when looking at the guitar front on and can only be seen on the tip or end of each knob when viewing the guitar from the side. Thanks again for the helpful post and if you are able to find time to respond to my question I would be grateful

  • @SuperJerryfan What you're talking about sounds like it is just a part of the whole machine. I am pretty sure I have seen this before, where the screw is on the top of the peg that you twist, where you can only see it from the side. I would assume that it is only a part of the assembly, it's just holding pieces together, so nothing beside that. They probable hole the knobs in place, but maybe hold something else in place, I wouldn't really think that it's something to mess with.

  • WOW!

    COOL!

    AWESOME!

SAY, DO YOU HAVE TO REMOVE THE STRINGS TO CHANGE THE TUNING MACHINES?

  • @jehovahuponyou Yes.

  • is it the same with the bass guiatr?

  • Do you have to remove strings to change tuners? Have you seriously just asked that?

  • dude, you sound depressed

  • are you trying not to wake someone up?

  • How do I know if certain tuning machines will fit in my guitar?

  • @801Current never mind i got it fixed

  • thanks for the response. Played strats most of my life but got this avion les paul body guitar and I was having trouble with my high e string keeping it's tension and thought perhaps the screw could be adjusted but thanks to your video and others like it I justcompletely set up the guitar to my preferences! been playing for a long time and I don't know why I've never done that. I just wanted to experiement with some heavier guage and try a few different set ups. Very educational keep it up!
