@danbarnosu martial arts make you mucm ore confident in a fight and coolness is more a spiritial thing than a body thing.... sttength is important but as addition to technique.... :P
-
it makes you more confident thats for sure...and in a fight coolness and confidence do help alot
-
scheisse, look at that power mate

@doubleg35 and Jacobbbspons I can not understand how a discusion if strength training is selfdefense changed to a bodybuilder vs powerlifter strength discussion ....
What ever with only strength you are not very worth in selfdefense or fighting . It is a myth that weightlifting alone make you a better fighter or better in selfdefense ...

@Jacobbbspons cleans(they probably don't know what that is lol). Listen man thing is, they don't do overhead squats because they don't find them beneficial for their muscle growth. They don't care about explosive power, they don't care about lifting alot to get stronger, all they care about is getting their muscles big. Muscles big just equals muscles big, no strength behind it...fact.
-
@doubleg35 cleans, deadlifts, full-squats, bench, shoulder presses, over-head squats..etc. ... bodybuilders do all that and lot more
-
better put guys is like this. If you train with your little dumbell flyes, cable cross-overs, your little machines, with your little belt and straps etc....meet me in alley whenever. But if train with flipping tires, barbell deadlifts, cleans, raw squats, bench presses, sledgehammer, grip training...etc. I don't wanna meet you in alley. Either that or I need to train harder.

@redspecial27 and @jacobbbspons you guys are delusional. A bodybuilder can't lift what a powerlifter can lift. And powerlifters do have a huge amount of muscle on them that if in that same year they would want to enter a contest they would diet down(like offseason bodybuilders do) and compete. Thats why you should never divide both in traiining. If you never do basics: cleans, deadlifts, full-squats, bench, shoulder presses, over-head squats..etc...all your muscles will be just for show.

@Jacobbbspons true fighting is not fair, true fighting is with a gun , a knife , or with many many friends with sticks .... chalenge fighting is not fighting it is bullshits ...
noboddy who know something about fighting looks for fighting ... you obviously don't know what you are talking about ..
It is not good to hurt other people... only if you are in danger and if you must defens yourself ... you are 100 % wrong but I respect your ideas ..... take care
