New York-based fashion designer Edwing D'Angelo's collection is a modern manifestation of high fashion in the 1920s while staying relevant in modern fashion. Colors are relatively subdued, which allows the construction to take center stage. Designs range from business to black tie for both men and women, while communicating the story of wealth and the pursuit of wealth. One garment of particular note is a beautiful silhouette with floral embroidered detail along with sequence and latticework skirt. It showcases the figure without revealing too much. Of the mens collection the piece that epitomized DAngelos aesthetic was the black tux with orange-lined tails. It was sharp, yet playful, well-made, yet accessible, and most of all capable of being split up.
