looks like front clip is attached to the carry handle . my handle located middle of yak. only once did i run anchor at center point............... almost washed the current right over the top of yak! only front or rear of yak for anchors now!!
This way the clip is only mounted to the side handle so that you don't have to run line the entire legnth of the kayak. Like you said... NEVER mount an anchor in current from the center point of the kayak. This way you can mount separate trolleys from the center to the stern, and center to the bow.
very clever idea. for those of you that dont know how it works, the anchor line goes through the silver clip so when you anchor, you can position your kayak in the water and easy acess to the anchor line
hi guys i also use weights from dumbbells cheap to buy @ flea markets and garage sales for anchors and if you need to cut them loose your not out much, will be fishing the adirondacks this month happy hooking ,briish
you run the anchor line through the silver clip, then send it either to the bow or stren, depending on which way you want the kayak to turn with the wind or current.
