@InfinitelyGalactic Issue I had was that Ubuntu 11.10 worked fine on my computer. Then one day wouldn't get pass the log-in screen. Heh.

Another great review mate! I know 11.04 is just brilliant but for now I'm using Linux Mint 12 and miss Conky but it's not er straightforward to install, is there an EASY way to install Conky?

I agree with Pinguy: 11.10 is unstable. Ok Xubuntu 11.10, but cannot add many tweaks/ apps. So using Pinguy 11.10, both 32 & 64 bit. It adds thing IMPOSSIBLE for other distros to attempt to try to add. I've tried using EVERY distro you've ever tested, including you latest OS-X type of Ubuntu. Still like Pinguy.

I like de-tweaking an over-full distro. On the Canonical, when I tried to remove Unity or Compiz, it crashed the whole system beyond repair.

I use Ubuntu since I had work to do and I my Mac had got formatted so I needed an OS quickly but I liked setting up arch and customizing it

@InfinitelyGalactic Hey man, wondering which distro you are using currently, and is it good for absolute beginner? Reason I ask is I wanna try a linux operating system :)
Thank You!

@JohnnyOthman At the moment I'm using Ubuntu 11.10, which is probably the easiest for new users at the moment. You could also give Linux Mint a try if you don't like Ubuntu 11.10. Good luck!

The distro is awesome, so are you, but the resolution is a bit small for me to see details. Congratulations on the new laptop. Btw who is that Pinguy and how is he able to do all this on his own???

@avalanche8700 Pinguy is just the developer who makes most of the calls behind the operating system. He basically just takes the latest Ubuntu release, only installs the minimal components, and then customizes/tweaks/installs software until he's happy with it. Then he gets others to test it out and help him find bugs. I think that's how it works anyway. Anyway thanks for the feedback. Appreciate it. :-)
