It's a collectors item. I collect dolls--mainly Afro textured natural hair folks, but she is beautiful & I would love to add her to my collection.

Mattel has to sanction any replicas of Barbie. They are extremely protective of her image and will go after any non sanctioned spoofs ie "trailer trash barbie." This is from their collectors line. They have made several "Black Barbies" and a few with non natural colored hair to go with the clothing. I am not sure why this is a big deal when most kids will never see this doll for being so expensive.

This is the way the world sees BW in a nutshell. There's only a small minority of BW that are completely natural hair. The fashion isn't all that nmuch of a stretch either. It doesn't take a doll to show them that. All they need to do is look in/outside their homes to be influenced by mockery a majority of BW have become.

This doll (not a Barbie) cost almost $200, it is for adult collectors. There are other issues to be concerned with. A GOOGLE search, can reveal her name is “Adele Makeda” she is a retired doll of a Integrity Toy’s “Fashion Royalty” line.

1st this isn't a Barbie Doll but a Collector's Doll that is marketed for Adults not children 2nd Mattel do have Barbies that are meant for Adult collectors also. Also 3rd you do no that there are people that can alter the dolls for their own collection. There are plenty of issues in our community, This is not one of them.
