insuperabile, divina!

it was not a suoerb rendition... there are some "fishy" moments.
for sure she is a man, not a computer and can make it not on whole 100%

Bien sûr on sent les limites de la voix désormais, mais c'est incroyablement fin intelligent, musical. Pourquoi n'a-t-elle pas voulu continuer dans ce registre? Elle aurat chanté des années encore.

@OperaCritics Where do you get these facts I would like to know so I can look them up

@zehnthaus I've heard about her natural mezzo- range... But really, I see her as all-encompassing really, soprano sfogato. But I don't know. She would have done this much better in her earlier years, 1958 & earlier– that last part surely wobbled awkwardly. But, you're right: musicality, drama, fluid AGILITY: unchallengeable...

@colonia3059 Right! My own introduction to opera was from a greatest hits collection I got from a sidewalk sale– picked it up on a whim to see what EVERYONE was carrying on about this Callas woman. It changed my life– for the better, this woman did. One may not know didley squat about opera, but one is lying if s/he knows not the name of Callas and the miracle that she was!

Merci/.
Callas is arguably the greatest opera singer ever, a woman of great beauty, class, operatic intensity, intelligence, dramatic instinct, a true tragic heroine who merits the adulation that her meteoric career engendered ... A legend .... She's not making these runs though and the vibrato on the last high note is just crazy ... Still love her though :)
