  • Do you still have the DX4e controller? If you do would you be willing to sell it?

  • @quickguesswho - I still have it but it has a bad idle up switch that I hadn't been willing to fix yet. Unlike the mSR and 120, in my opinion this heli really does need to be used with a DX6i (or better) though. It's high performance, small, and you really need to be able to tweak it extensively.

  • First buy a Blade mSR, and when you rock this, you'll be ready for the mCP X. I can only recommend to buy a dx6i or better (dx7s, dx8 etc.)

  • @PPVidmaxx - Agreed. This is not a beginner heli.

  • Nice un-boxing! Very informative and concise! Great job and thanks for sharing.

  • @georgewilcken - And thank you!

  • the "x"means flybarless,

  • Is it possible to use a futaba 7c controller for this heli? With using the standard heli reciever?

  • Just my advice and experience. Going from small coaxial to cp helis, micro or not, is a bad move. Cp is extremely sensitive to stick input and more than likely leaves user frustrated with crashes. 120sr is awesome but not for small indoor areas. The nine eagles solo pro 318a is more stable to advance into micro FP helis. A better learner for orientation, nose in or out. But then again go for it but take your time keeping mcpx in beginner mode. Cheers!!

  • im using a futaba radio on mine

  • the x means flybarless

  • @CrazyHeliDude Hey so I have been flying my MCx2 for 8 months now and defiantly think its time to upgrade to another heli. My orginial upgrade was going to be the SR 120 until I came across this today and was blown away by the idea of flybarless Heli. Now of course I have only flown coaxial but was wondering if ya think I could upgrade to this one without a huge problem and just take it slow?

  • X means flybarless

  • mcpx maybe means micro collective pitch xtreme like on the UMX extra

    ("x" means xtreme.)

  • Hello Rob,

nice video that helped me alot in my decission on my first heli. I flew it once and it's 'easy' to keep in the air at the very beginning ... and if you go down once, you just can't break it it seems! GREAT. I think I'll get the RTF with the DX6i.

The X stands for a flybarless pretty sure as the one Blade 450 with the flybarless system has the X in its name, too.

  • X is for the AS3X technology in the heli.
