It was a long chase day. One storm developed near Holland, and moved northward toward Muskegon and became severe warned. That's when I jumped on it. I punched the hail/rain core on that cell. Hail was about nickel size where I was at. Then I drove back east to the Moss Ridge Golf Club and filmed a significant lowering of SCUD clouds on the updraft base of another storm producing large hail. It was hard to tell if there was rotation in there, but upon reviewing the footage, it's possible there was some weak rotation with this cell. I followed the cell northward and northwestward into Grant, and north of Grant. Then I drove back south to Kent City and headed east toward Cedar Springs, then south and east again to Greenville. I finally ended up in Carson City after out running the squall line that I also punched the core of 3 different times. I came back to Kent City and filmed some lightning before I ended the chase for the day. Enjoy the footage.
