@mavra1910 No, you did actually. Marxists are not the same as the Bolshevik faction in Russia in the early 20th century. I am a Marxist but not a Bolshevik. And I think the word you should use instead of Marxist in your comment is communist, because there are communists that are not Marxists. I know Bolshevik means majority, this was in response to the Mensheviks, which meant minority, as a "pun" almost, because they thought they were acting for the majority. So, I don't know what you're saying.

Atheism was a state ideology,,Many religious ppl were persecuted - judaists,jehowas witnesses,baptists,muslims etc..

But russian christian orthodox had little bit better position because the majority of russia's population were orthodox before revolution 1917.It was banned to celebrate christmas, easter,hanuka, ramadan etc..

@mavra1910 Are you talking to me? Karl Marx was dead long before Bolshevism was even conceived of, and 4000 miles away too. I know that the USSR was an atheist nation but I seriously doubt all Bolsheviks were atheists, I think it was estimated that during the Cold War, 1/3 of the USSR was religious, and there was probably more than that, they just feared persecution. So I am in pretty much agreement with your general statement.
