Nice old Model A John Deere starting up at the 2008 Puget Sound Antique Tractor & Machinery Association in Lynden Washington Look at my other videos, have more from the show.
I could be wrong but either way that's a nice sound that I don't hear any more.
Pistons the size of dinner plates and they would idle really slow - maybe 300 RPM if I remember correctly. That was MANY years ago so someone with more exposure to those old iron horses might be able to provide a better number.
Beautiful clip, gorgeous tractors!!!!!!!!!!!!

@Slugg0matic I always heard they were Johnny Poppers. But oh well. I have a 1948 A. (needs a lot of TLC though)

Love the sound of those old "Poppin' Johnnys" I drove one like that when I was a kid.
