@CherrySprings You know, I see your point. Certainly there are many other charities that need help, both monetarily and volunteer-based. Fact is, however, what one feels is a worthy cause, (an "important" charity and thus should get donations), isn't necessarily what the consensus feels.

Personally, if I was ill, or dying, I don't think I could simply "get over it", and maybe having a wig would ease that pain - that horror, if even very slightly. Sometimes vanity = dignity and that's plain OK.

@ladykws I personally think that donating hair is a kind of weird type of charity, I mean, hair has no value for basic life needs, it's just some vanity thing so that sick children or women can feel pretty. I mean, just get over it, when you're sick you've got worse problems. If you want to do something for charity then donate to some organization who builds schools or provides medical care or clean water or something.

that mohawk was soo cool, you should've kept it. i'm a boy and i've been growing my hair from a buzz cut for 1 year now and when it's long enough to donate i'm going to donate it but then make it a hairstyle like sokka from avatar. it'll be awesome.
