@ozzee95 Actually, some countertenors sing in their upper voice which has not broken. Others sing in head voice or falsetto, but NOT all.

I would rather say that many countertenors also are tenors, like myself. Jaroussky is probably tenor, maybe even Daniels if you listen to him when i talks about his latest Bach-album. I speak in a tenorvoice and sing tenor when i don't sing countertenor, so it's not exclusively baritones that sing countertenor.

Andreas Scholl does indeed have an amazing voice, however it is not unusual for counter tenors to have a low speaking voice. A common misconception is that counter tenor's voice's are boys voice's that have never broken, this is not true. Counter tenor's have a normal baritone singing and speaking voice. After their voice breaks they find that they can still use their head voice then they may or may not choose to develop it. so counter tenors have pretty amazing voice ranges - usually 4 octaves

Its such a start contrast - he has such a beautiful masculine speaking voice and then when he sings... :S. Oh well, its unusual to hear.
