@manzanasfreak yes it has.
You can switch the object in focus selecting other than "single point AF" in the menu and using the arrows, read your camera manual.

when in video mode with this camera can you select a manual mode for aperture, iso.... or its only automatic?

@edgybob1 yes, it have autofocus, but it doesn't work in live view, and also recording, so you have to focus manually with focusing ring.

I can't figure out how to autofocus between two objects. Should I use auto-focus or Manual Focus in order to switch autofocus on object. Additionally, I don't know where to switch the auto-focus while I am shooting. can you please tell.

@AnimetimeTV Nikon D5000 has not autofocus, only by hand.
