im a goalie and dont use a knob at all, its uncomfortable when playing the puck and unnecessary, you should be able to catch your stick after a poke check ....

i have a warrior goalie stick, even though im not goalie i have have fleury street hockey pads and i use them a lot and i have been taping my sticks like that
