yeah because we need to be trained how to live in our society through the group right, i mean i kno i sound like a socialist right now but you have to train the people in society to their norms, like would you like people taking a shit on your driveway? no but if people didnt belong to groups and learn from others in the group we would never kno what society's norms are (also school is daycare even highschool kids)

first off, congrads on every1 who gave me a thumbs down, sorry for having my own opinion haha, second of all when your in school you cant fuck the group because what else are you going to do....at one age we all wanted to dropout...i dropped out of university on my own terms, not the terms of when i was in gr.8 and wanted to blaze and play video games all day, enough said

I think a lot of collectivism comes from early human evolution, where this pattern of behavior may have made sense for extremely small hunter-gatherer bands. But for modern economies freedom and trade leads to prosperity, yet the old ingrained tenets from the ancient past are still there.
