In the age of the internet I feel it's still important to support your local gun shop. I buy stuff off the net too, but I usually only do so if my local shop doesn't have the product I'm looking for. Our local gun shops provide many important services and its up to us to support them and keep them in business.

  • MAC, are you the pecker head that has their Valpo constantly sold out of AK mags?

  • @gee556 Not me. I haven't bought any AK mags there. I've had a large stock of AK mags for many years... no need to buy any new ones.

  • Are you the same guy that posted as MAC on fullauto.org before it got shut down?

  • @Chief20879 Nope.

  • I try to, but most of my local guys are assholes. I end up just making my purchases at the gun shows.

  • @buffalopatriot They don't bother me. But when I notice one of them being especially vulgar, I punt them and remove their posts.

  • One is over priced

The other, has odd business schedule

  • Wish I had shop like this where I live. $99 for a Mosin!? lucky to find one that does not have dark wood, mis-match & look like crap, & they want $150 or more. I started off buying guns from them.Told them 5 guns(rifles) I was willing to buy from them at one time, they never even gave me any prices. I asked a few times. I even had to do transfers to some other place local cheaper. Sad part is I went to HS with the owner. They lost lots & lots of biz with me. I support someone elses local shop

  • It took me a while to find a good gun shop in Virginia. I have noticed a lot (if not most) people who work at gun shops are a bit ill tempered. I always felt like I was wasting there time the way they talked to me. I don't get it, if I got to play with new guns everyday AND carry at work I would always be in a good mood :)

  • I have shopped here they have always been great

  • I WISH I HAD A SHOP LIKE THIS WHERE I LIVE!!!!

  • My favorite gun shop went to hell, when the old guys that ran it for several years, retired

or died off, and left it to their dick head sons to run, The old guys would give you a fair trade in amount for your gun, give you a break on ammo or supplies, and were friendly and easy to talk to. The sons are rude and arrogant, and unless you own or are buying a expensive gun , they really don't want to talk to you.

  • yeah serious the guys at my local gun shop are total assholes, its like they go out of your way to treat you like shit

  • Lucky u. Our local shops sux. Most of the employee hide from you or pretend to be busy talking to their buddies. The prices are always expensive. They just don't know how to treat a paying customer. One guy charged me almost 2 bills for transfering 2 relics even when I returned the 2 items to the sender. He promised to return some of the fees but later reneged on it cuz he said he had to pay taxes.. That pissed me off.

I finally found a local FFL that is decent and honest transfer prices.

  • The guys at my local gun shop around Ft. Bragg treat me great, been going there for about 15 years and they don't give me a "discount". They actually just knock the tax off what I buy.

  • I support 21st Century Firearms
