This is for my mom who is terminally ill with breast cancer. She was diagnosed in 2004 and has been battling it since. She told me 2 nights ago she was given 6 months to live. She was told this information by her doctor, 5.5 months ago.

My mom and I never got along very well until the end of 2007. Living with her made every moment a nightmare, and I'm sure I did the same for her. Now we are closer than ever before, and it's a shame I didn't mature enough sooner. I was never a great daughter. I was rebellious and stubborn (I still am) but she tolerated me. Of course, it has been extremely hard for my sisters and I to watch her suffer all this time (I can't imagine what it'd be like to actually be in her place) and I have barely any way to escape other than to paddle and play my guitar.

I refrained from covering any Beatles songs simply because I believe I'm not worthy yet. They're my favorite band and this is my favorite song. So, I decided to dedicate this song to her.

I am going to do a 60km walk around Vancouver, Canada in an effort to raise money for breast cancer research. Please support me by visiting this site: http://www.endcancer.ca/site/TR/Events/Vancouver2009?px=2824943&pg=person...

Edit:
My mother passed away at 9:00am in St Paul's Hospital, Vancouver BC. March 20th 2009. There will be an answer... we just have to find it.
