Thunder Warrior? I'm glad they never went with that bland excuse for a title.

Am I the only one that thinks the announcer kinda sounds like Col. Campbell from the Metal Gear Solid series?

If they had said supramundane it would be a fancy and stupid way to say more than normal. Supermundane, means that he is not just normal in his fighting abilities he is literally the mean of the population when it comes to fighting.

@JorgLieberstesh: As cheesy as that piece of Engrish sounds, they did get it right about him being "supermundane."

In my opinion, this trailer would have easily sold me on this anime OVA back in the day.

Yeah. The footage from the anime was edited and speed up to match the heavy metal music in the video. I'm not sure how or where they got the rights to use it, but it sure was a good way to learn about such an obscure and underrated anime cartoon. And it wasn't until a few years later when I finally found the first episode of MD Geist on VHS to see it in it's entirety. Then I found MD Geist 1 and 2 on DVD.
HE'S EVEN LOOKING FORWARD TO A LITTLE FIGHT WITH DEATH FORCE.
I swear. It's like they were aiming this at children, in some bizarre way. M.D. Geist was fucking trash to the extreme, but I loved it. The soundtrack is amazing and I can't stop listening to it. As for Part 2? I have never seen anything make as little sense as it. You're not qualified to be a God, KRAU-ZER.

@TheKujikawaRise Totally showing M.D. Geist to my kids, and I can only watch the sequel subtitled, I can't stand the dub at all.

I wonder where the term Thunder Warrior came from.

@MDthornton83 Where all the other re-titles came from, from the idea that it made them more marketable.

I see. Funny how this anime got an American promo in 1988. I even remember seeing brief footage from the first episode of MD Geist in this VHS promo for heavy metal bands and music. I think the title for the VHS was called "Metal Head". And strange as this may sound, that's how I first came to know MD Geist.

@MDthornton83 Cool, wish there was a way to have seen that.
