In 2005, on the first shuttle mission after the Columbia disaster, Steve Robinson, a UC Davis alumnus, rode the Space Station's robot arm to inspect the heat shield on the shuttle's underside. He found and removed some loose gap fillers. The video was edited by UC Davis using NASA footage of the 2005 STS-114 mission with NASA's permission.
