I wish someday a lawyer digging through the old contracts will find something that requires Artie to do a couple of more shows. The Artie Stern saga needs a better ending.

@Uridien but you have to admit that those times when he lashed out provided for some of the greatest moments in radio history. Whether he was making jokes, busting balls, or fighting, all radio gold.

Miss him? I dunno. I heard old Stern all last week, with Artie, and it was awesome. He knew when to chime in and offer jokes. It was the perfect balance. FF to the last few years, he was butting in way too much, with that 'I've done too many drugs in my life' voice and it was annoying. Plus I've said it before, I'll say it again ... he was a loose canon. Dangerous individual, always lashing out with violence when he couldn't handle something. Howard is glad he's gone. He just won't cop to it.

In all honesty, knowing everything we do now, this is an incredibly sad video. I know, Whaaaaaaa, but if it wasn't for heroin Artie would still be on the show. Here's hoping Howard lets him back on before the contract runs out.
