@bloodnokian Yep, and all the more impressive when you consider he was the bass player for The Band. I think part of what made them so awesome was that all those guys were such versatile musicians (regularly switching up on the instruments).

I was lucky enough to meet Rick a few times just before he passed away.First time was in Buffalo NY, I walked into his dressing room in between his set and introduced myself and told him who I was with..He was ok with that so I sat at the table with him.................When my visit was over I saw an empty cigarett pack that he used to sighn an autograph for me..I thanked him shook his hand and waited for him to hit the stage.A night I'll never forget or experience ever again..Too soon gone ..
