Page would have taken the #1 spot if she had done more acting because in looks and character, she's a whole lot better than Monroe in my opinion. She also made her own clothes. Her life after her modeling is also something to aspire to. She wanted to be a missionary but more importantly, she gave of her time to be with orphans and out-of-wedlock mothers. She would take the bus from her school to do that. That really says a lot about her character and something I really admire her for.

She was the greatest pin-up of all time, a fetish/bondage model, and key figure in the sexual revolution. She lived in poverty most of her life. Others profited handsomely from her image. But, that was never shared with Bettie. She truly did not understand all the fuss over her sexy pics. She remains an icon.

"I was just doing the best that I could," she humbly admitted.

You did more than you ever realized, Bettie. You will always be loved.
