Celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the Washington State Ferries International sailing route from Anacortes, WA through the San Juan Islands to Friday Harbor, and on to Sidney, British Columbia in Canada. A "Bridge Between Borders", this ferry run has been connecting two countries, two cultures, and three vitally important areas for tourism for 50 years. From http://www.sanjuanislandstv.com

  • Anacortes-Sidney service has been in place since 1922, which is 78 years. The "new" Sidney and Anacortes Terminals were opened in 1960. Was this "fiftieth anniversary" notion put out in a WSF press release? I've seen it in so many places...

  • @explodingnipple Yes, technically we are celebrating the 50th Anniversary of WSF operating the Sidney terminal.
