Shot at the intersection of two busy thoroughfares in Wuxi, Jiangsu, China, between change of traffic signals. We can see that about 80% of the two-wheeled vehicles on the roads of a typical eastern Chinese city today are electric bikes. The rest are bicycles, motorbikes are rare as they are banned by the municipal government.

  • which one was the electric???

  • @bwrodczek almost all of them

  • thanks very much for sharing this. how much does it cost in china? mine in argentina cost me 1500 dollars. have they pedals in china too?

  • @TheNoelest you are welcome. They are very cheap in China, this summer I bought one for around $350 US dollars. They come in a variety of shapes and models. Some are with pedals, some are not. Some are lead-acid battery-powered; newer ones are lithium ion battery powered. And you don't need license or permit to ride them. That's why they are so popular.

  • @liyuan85 omg why is it so expensive here just the box of acid bateries cost $300

my bike is a lucky lion xfw is it a known brand there? thanks liyuan for the info

  • @TheNoelest that name rings familiar... there are many brands here, it's a very competitive market, and there are factories that manufacture them, and then affix a label and sell them overseas. So essentially the same model could have different brands or labels on them, depending on in which market they are sold. It is very cheap in China, esp. popular to those who can't afford cars.

  • @TheNoelest You are welcome

  • Hi, Good shooting, Liyuan.

Mike here who made the movie in Australia.

Glad to see so many people on non polluting vehicles where you life.but we don't call those things electric bikes, w ecall them scooters.

To be classed as an E bike, you have to pedal it like a normal bike.

here, you'd have to have a permit for those machines
