4e combat du Kettei-sen (play-off) de l'Haru 1990. Victoire de Yokozuna Hokutoumi face à Ozeki Konishiki par Shitatenage. C'est sa deuxième victoire de suite lors de ce Kettei-sen à trois (Hokutoumi, Konishiki et Kirishima avaient terminé le tournoi avec 13 victoires chacuns), ce qui lui permet de remporter le Yusho, la sixième Coupe de l'Empereur de sa carrière.
